The happiest couples I know had first dates that were less than perfect. Perfection is a process. OK, I'll get off my soapbox now. An ideal first date should reveal potential, allowing both of us the opportunity to discover each other - our likes and dislikes, values, goals, outlooks on life - and perhaps something new about ourselves in the process.
