I love to explore new hobbies and would be glad to have someone to join me and motivate me just a bit more...anyhow things I enjoy include (but are not limited to): reading (usually non-fiction), brunch, listening to music, learning about music, learning to play guitar, dancing just for fun, rock climbing, running, biking around town, picnicking, taking long walks, art (seeing, making, participating), making new friends, keeping old friends, sharing stories, Pocketology, traveling to places both familiar and new, playing board games, eating delicious food (I used to cook more but lately I've been an eater...would like to get back in the cooking part), saving apple seeds and planting them at a later date.

Goals:
I came to Toronto from the US in September to be in an artist in residency program. So far, so good. I really like the community here (especially now that the sun is coming out again!) and I feel like my work is growing well. My goal as an artist and as a human being is to try to engage people and make the world feel a little less scary, a little more exciting and more inviting for all of us. I am now working as the Director of The Portrait Gallery of Pocketology, which is devoted to excavating the stories of everyday life based on what people hold in their pockets or wallets, etc. I hope to help create frameworks wherein everyday people can participate in life in a way that they had not considered previously. In a way that hopefully makes us feel present in every day life.

About me:
I grew up the great state of Ohio, lived in Israel last year and now I've moved on to Canada. I am up for most things (but I don't like falling, ie bungy jumping or something like that) and quite excitable. I speak Hebrew decently enough. My eyes are blue. My thumbs are somewhat oddly shaped for thumbs and I like them that way.
I like all sorts of music, but recently I am pretty into some old school R&B type grooves, funk, soul, dub etc. I love bluegrass and classical, jazz (anything with gorgeous instrumentals), some classic rock, indie tunes and even a hint of Justin Timberlake every now and again...
