LOVE is that condition where another's happiness is essential to your own. I listen well, but my memory is not what it was. I say what I think, and sometimes what I think hurts, but I never intend to.I am not a gregarious person, I prefer the company of small groups. Never ask me what I think unless you want the truth, as I see it. I like walking down a lonely beach in the summer or the winter. I like to hold hands by a warm fire, reading or writing books, with someone I care for, enjoying their company without the need for words.
I like to help people, giving of myself, not just material things.
There are not many things I dislike apart from meanness, bigots, strong perfumes and the unwillingness to understand another view point.
I like most kinds of music, though I have to admit that Neil Diamond's Jonathon Livingston Seagull and Beethoven's Ninth Symphony are my favourites.
As for family I have two daughters, Rachel, who is twenty-six and managing a restaurant, and Leah, who is twenty and studying criminal physiology at university.
I am now looking for a new place to call home, to find a new life.
I do have one or two neurons floating around, but I can't always find them, and I did have a sense of humour, until I let a friend have the use of it. The problem is that I've forgotten who I rented it to and for how much.
What else can I tell you about me, I enjoy writing non-fiction, in fact I have two novels under my belt, part of the reason why I look fatter than I really am. I play speed chess, I get bored playing slowly. I used to play guitar and sing in folk clubs when I was younger, but now I just play to amuse myself and empty the bars. The biggest lesson I have learned in life is that rules are made for the blind obedience of fools and the guidance of wise men.
