I grew up in downtown Toronto. Went to public school. Pledged myself in lifelong loyal friendship = : ) Lived in Peterborough for a few years, and went off to Israel for several on my own. (There was also an adventure off to British Columbia in there). I studied education and musicology in university, and Torah before that in Israel. I have a lot of musical background, and like playing guitar, piano, and singing with friends, (and a little banjo on the side, hehe). Some of the things which are most important to me are caring for people, and learning things that help me do so better, and pushing myself in that. I try to relate to G-d in traditional ways, and personal too. And doing what I can so people feel really good just being themselves, happily chilling together, enjoying life, while we learn and grow little by little. I also like to be environmentally conscientious. Some of the simple things I enjoy are a heart to heart talk with a friend, or just some silliness, going out for the occasional beer, swimming, (not right after the beer), playing catch, dancing, going for a walk in nature, adventuring, seeing a good movie, or checking out a museum.

Sitting by a little campfire, nestled under some sweet smelling cedars, with crickets chirping in the background, maybe by a still lake on the surface of which the stars and moon are reflected (doesn't hurt if there are some Loons out singing!); playing some guitar, talking, and laughing until the passage of time seems to fade into forever, until the endless velvety black expanse of night is infused with the deepest warm, rich blue, and then washes into that crisp, sparkling, goose-bump fresh, shining bright, new morning : ) And then to sleep

A few things that are really important to me to have in common are: kindness and caring for people; wanting to relate to G-d; wanting to live Torah in some way; sensitivity to racism and ethnocentrism; some sense of environmental responsibility; honesty.
Other things I like in a woman are: thoughtfulness; happiness in life; adventurous; likes being out in nature; it's nice if she likes to sing with me; sensitivity; playfulness; comfortable to sometimes be serious, intense, passionate / other times silly, funny, light; open to the wondrous, magical, miraculous; enjoys a good book; likes dancing; could go out with me in a canoe - flip it over - (it floats with a big air pocket underneath) sing underneath it - flip it back over (now it's filled with water) and sit in it like a floating bathtub - get a great laugh out of it!; could tuck in with a good movie and some popcorn...
