Traversing a dating site can be exhausting, and many people decide to give up because the results are fruitless. However, I have never believed that "opportunity knocks." Unless we become perennial trick-or-treaters, and knock on those doors, we will never find out what possibilities might be.





I look for the positive side of all situations, have a sense of humor, believe that happiness is a choice, am spiritual, devoted to ideals of home and family, and view life's challenges as an opportunity for growth. I am looking for someone who not only relates to the above ideals, but who also understands the fragility of a relationship, acknowledges that both partners have needs which should be understood and addressed, and someone who is capable of giving as well as receiving love and nurturing.





Doing exciting things can be, well, exciting, but it is the ordinary and mundane aspects of life that really count- the sharing of one's day with someone who lends a loving, interested and empathetic ear;sharing some wine, music and laughter; cuddling till we both fall asleep feeling safe and secure and peaceful. These are the things that make one's life experiences synergistic and, well, that's really the meaning of EXCITING!





I have a serious side, which most people see at first, but there is another, completely different side, for you to discover.





For fun, I like to play Scrabble, read, bike ride, walk, shop, play piano, have dinner with friends and generally do a lot of laughing.





Relationships are not 50/50. If we view relationships as a place to give, rather than to get, everyone comes out happy. Leonard Cohen wrote that "love is not a victory march." I believe he meant that anyone who needs to win in a relationship causes both people to lose.We will both be winners, or we will both be losers. I am a student of Mussar and am constantly searching for truth...and love...LOL.
