I’m a transplant from South Africa . and have been 23 years in the USA . I absolutely love to travel and explore the world around me . I’ve visited many international destinations , including Peru where I climbed Machu Picchu and various places in Europe , the USA and Canada , Central and South America , the Middle East, and Africa. I’m a single parent with one special daughter , married with two gorgeous granddaughters and living close by . I live in the DFW area . I worked in the South African state department for a number of years before immigrating to the USA . I’ve been teaching at high school and college level here , and will retire in 6 months , to spend more time with my grandchildren , friends and to travel .My other interests are visiting museums , international festivals, live theater, symphony concerts , listening to classical and pop music , reading, ( mainly historic novels and biographies), keeping up with local and international news on the internet and TV, .eating out at eclectic restaurants and socializing with my friends . I work out regularly, walk daily and try to stay fit and healthy . I’m warm honest and egregious by nature , but like my quiet times at home . I consider my glass as half full, with so much more to experience and enjoy . We all have baggage from the past , but it has its place and should be put away out of sight. As independent and involved in life as I am , it lacks fulfillment without a compatible partner with whom to share it . Do you care to share it with me ?
