Recently, I've seen movies such as "The Silver Lining Playbook" "Flight," "Skyfall," and with my 4 year old grandson "Rise of the Guardians." So what does this have to do with my profile? In each of the movies, in one way or the other, you learn that life is not always easy. There are the "Ups and Downs." While I am very mucha Romantic, I'm also a Realist. You cannot just throw up words and pictures and expect the World to come rushing to your Door. Life is a work in progress. So all of this begs the question when is it too much info in one's profile?" For me here, I have only begun. As in Life itself, my landscape is always evolving.



So let's talk about Families, both big and small, and the inspiration that derives from them...Having been a buyer for 10 years in Atlanta for Rich's and now not having the pressures of profit/loss statements on my shoulders, it is such a pleasure to just shop leisurely for my Grandchidren. All of us as Grandparents feel it. Our great joy is to spoil them.



While life has its share of difficult times, I am able to proclaim that June 2012, with the arrival of both a new Granddaughter and then 9 days later a new Grandson that Charles Dickinson was right when he wrote in "The Tale of Two Cities-that moment in time for me was one of "the Best of Times."



I may be nearsighted and not a Clairvoyant, but I am fully cognizant of the fact that LIFE is not a Dress Rehearsal. I understand fully the concept of geography. But New Friendship and Love will dissolve those barriers. So if laughing and the excitement that comes with Discovery is your thing. This is about "WE" not "I."



My purpose is to create words here in such a way that they come together jumping off the page of a Real breathing Human Being! (1 Picture=a 1000 Words). I am taking control of my life. A High Motor person, I fill my life with family and friends. With me, however, I am more than meets the eye. If you have a Sense of Adventure and can stand on a ladder to reach NEW Heights assuming your bag is very small, if you have the gift of gab, if your perception of yourself is realistically one of humor, self confidence, and with a flair for style, and if you love romance, then "Hello."



I relish delving into new EXPERIENCES with the excitement and feeling that Love and Friendship bring. With my son and his family in Memphis, and my daughter and her family now in MD, my life moves into a wonderful new chapter and looking to the future. I will continue to expand my possibilities by thinking "out of the box and enjoying my family and a large network of friends here and beyond that have included me in all aspects of their lives.



I'm very 'Comfortable in My Own Skin" and with a little pinch of "Southern Charm" thrown in with still a great capacity to Blush. With that said, is there someone who believes as I do in connecting our Souls for our Next Journey as we become Best Friends, and Lovers as the threads of our lives weave together creating OUR VERY OWN TAPESTRY?

Planning for that date is just as important. Is there a connection on the phone? I love "personality," "inquisitive minds" and the planning for that meeting.. Am I, or do I sense that she is at ease? Is there Balance in the conversation?Questions on both sides? With many of my social meetings not necessarily being in Memphis, whether at a neutral site, like Chicago or Maryland, Michigan, Boston where parts of my family reside or even in Atlanta where I have a long 40+ year history of having once lived and worked there and return often, the effort is made a little more difficult but so much more rewarding. Now take it a step further: attraction, good conversation and food, and a faceless clock!

Should I write: "I like movies, theater, going out to dinner, taking long walks, hanging out with friends, laughing and am just as happy spending quiet time alone at home with a glass of wine?.... But Honestly that really isn't me. I have so many passions and outlets. Either you blend in with the crowd or you talk about what you actually are doing. I do not give lip service to my life. First of all, it goes without saying that quality time spent with my 4 grandchildren is by far and away my #1 Treat. Speaking of Grandchildren, with the two here in Memphis on a road trip for the Holidays, for me “the piece de resistance” of Thanksgiving will be my trip to Bethesda to spend time with my 2 other Grandchildren, my daughter, my son-in-law and his family.
